Happy that we still have an indoor mall. It's great that the mall doesn't seem to have very many empty stores. It was busy but still clean and fun to visit. Like most places, it's a little too packed with vendors to the point of being a bit cramped walking through even though out wasn't that busy. Festive.

It's been years since I've been to this mall as I moved out of the area. It's a very nice mall and great atmosphere. A nice variety of stores, too! I was there on a Sunday so it was really the only thing open in Bismarck.

The ultimate place to shop in Bismarck. Scheels, Target and JC Penny have been mainstays for years. With all the various stores; there is something for everyone. The staff does an outstanding job of keeping the mall clean.

I'm from California. We needed to go to T-Mobile and Target. Some locals told us to go to the mall we'd find it in one place. My first impression of this mall was how clean and well organized it is. Let's go to a lot of great stores sporting goods clothing and even a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Target JCPenney are here. It's good.

Listen, I walked into Kirkwood Mall the other day and I’m pretty sure I heard my own footsteps echo all the way from the food court to the parking lot. I’m not saying it was quiet, but I’m pretty sure I saw a tumbleweed wearing a pair of sunglasses and holding a gift card for a store that closed in 2005. It really makes you wonder: how do they keep the lights on? Are they running this place on sheer willpower and the collective hope of everyone looking for a place to walk during a North Dakota blizzard? Maybe the secret is that it’s actually a stealthy government experiment to see how long a human can survive on Auntie Anne’s pretzels and the ambient noise of a distant arcade. I’m wandering the halls, and I’m half-expecting to turn a corner and see a film crew shooting a post-apocalyptic thriller. But then—bam—you hit the Scheels or the Target, and suddenly there’s actual human activity. It’s like stepping through a portal from a silent, marble-floored dimension back into the bustling reality of the 21st century. Honestly, the "empty" vibe is kind of a superpower. You want to practice your interpretive dance moves without judgment? The corridors between the quiet shops are practically your personal stage. You want to feel like a high-stakes spy infiltrating an abandoned complex, only to reward your "mission" with a Chick-fil-A sandwich? This is your place. Despite the eerie quiet, the lights are still burning bright, and it’s still standing. Whether it’s 100% occupancy or a clever optical illusion maintained by the local ghosts of malls past, I’ll keep showing up. It’s the only place in town where I can get my steps in, stare at the ceiling, and ponder if the mall is actually a sentient being that just likes the peace and quiet. Pro-tip: If you find a store that’s actually open, buy something just to keep the lights humming for another week. We’re all in this together, folks.
